機(jī)械密封彈簧壓縮量測(cè)量直接用卡尺測(cè)是，先測(cè)量在自由狀態(tài)下的彈簧伸縮量，再測(cè)量機(jī)封安裝到位后的量，一減是壓縮量。
集裝式密封可以不用自己去定壓縮量，因?yàn)檎麄�(gè)密封裝好時(shí)已定好了，非集裝式密封要根據(jù)不同的泵的類(lèi)型來(lái)測(cè)量。
單彈簧機(jī)械密封的壓縮量為50%—70%，大概密封壓死后放開(kāi)3—5mm，多彈簧(碟形簧)的壓縮量為90%左右，即機(jī)械密封壓死后放開(kāi)1.5—2.5mm即可。同時(shí)還要考慮密封面的寬窄，彈簧的力度，工作時(shí)受力狀態(tài)。
調(diào)節(jié)彈簧壓縮量是為了滿足彈簧比壓，而不是為壓縮量而壓縮量，不管它是單彈簧還是多彈簧。通常，機(jī)泵機(jī)械密封的彈簧比壓大致控制在1.3—2.8kgf/cm2左右。佳取值多少要根據(jù)實(shí)際工況條件、摩擦副配對(duì)材質(zhì)、補(bǔ)償環(huán)輔助密封圈結(jié)構(gòu)型式和要與載貨系數(shù)K值相適應(yīng)等等。
泵用機(jī)械密封檢修中的誤區(qū)：
(1)彈簧壓縮量越大密封效果越好。其實(shí)不然，彈簧壓縮量過(guò)大，可導(dǎo)致摩擦副急劇磨損，瞬間燒損；過(guò)度的壓縮使彈簧失去調(diào)節(jié)動(dòng)環(huán)端面的能力，導(dǎo)致密封失效。
(2)動(dòng)環(huán)密封圖越緊越好。其實(shí)動(dòng)環(huán)密封圈過(guò)緊有害無(wú)益。一是加劇密封圈與軸套間的磨損，過(guò)早泄漏；二是增大了動(dòng)環(huán)軸向調(diào)整、移動(dòng)的阻力，在工況變化頻繁時(shí)無(wú)法適時(shí)進(jìn)行調(diào)整；三是彈簧過(guò)度疲勞易損壞；四是使動(dòng)環(huán)密封圈變形，影響密封效果。
